  • What is "Malcan Workflow for SharePoint"?
    • MWS is a product that enables building workflows for SharePoint in an easy and very efficient way (in minutes). You can build really complex workflows consisting of human interaction and automatic actions using your web browser only. Starting with v.4.0 the same product enables custom editing forms and fields visibility control!
  • Who can take advantage of MWS?
    • MWS was designed to be used by power users and solution providers. Once installed on SharePoint® platform you need to have site owner rights only to be able to design and run business processes on your site.
  • Is MWS free or payed?
    • MWS is a payed product. Based on that - Malcan is releasing free solutions, fully functional examples you may take, run and customize. We believe everybody want the same "Vacation Module", "Project Management Module" but everybody want it a bit different... Other fields, other workflow steps, other calculations. Any number of solutions can be run using one license of MWS.

  • What are the major benefits of MWS?
    • Easy process configuration & modifications (online), SHAREPOINT WORKFLOWS WITHOUT PROGRAMMING.
    • For more complex scenarios you have built in support for scripting - you can control any data in your Sharepoint site including modifications, going through lists with lookups, any calculations. All in your browser and without additional programming tools. Basically safe subset of SharePoint object model is available for you.
    • We know that WORKFLOW ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH. You have options to build custom editing forms in minutes. You decide who, when and what data are entered. Including any scope and data validations (built in the SharePoint platform, also own once).
    • All important list events available for you e.g. you can easily react to adding, updating or deleting list/document item.
    • Support for Active Directory so you can e.g. easily get manager for your approval (also in TRIAL).
    • All human tasks are accessible on your SharePoint page e.g. on your vacation's list - you don't need to check tasks on one list to accept your vacation on another list.
    • Calculations enabled - you may set your new values based on mathematical functions e.g. now you can easily group by calculated fields.
    • Parameterization and e-mail notifications enabled. Support for CAML, dynamic SharePoint permissions Management. Workflow cycles also available.
    • Very simple deployment and maintenance. System requirements are MOSS 2007/2010 or free Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 / SharePoint Foundation 2010. Currently we support English and Polish versions - feel free to contact us for your language.

- 1499 Euro net per server (regardless of number of users/processors/workflows/solutions and in server farms we count only front servers) or 1843,77 Euro gross (only if buyer is based in EU and is not VAT eligible, in such case 23% VAT tax need to be payed locally by Malcan)
- Newer Functionality & Fixes within one year FOR FREE. If you optionally prolong support with free upgrades it is only 20% yearly (existing solutions don't require upgrade).
